About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and the 3P team, which runs Recap at recapth.com and app.recapth.com. By creating an account, signing in, or using Recap, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use Recap for a company or other organisation, you confirm you may accept these terms for it.
02
Who may use Recap
- You must be 20 or older, or have the consent of your parent or guardian to use Recap and accept these terms.
- You must give a real email address and keep your sign-in details secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us at once at [email protected] if you think someone else has used it.
- One person, one account. Do not create accounts to get around plan limits.
03
Accounts and teams
Every account gets its own personal team on the Free plan, with you as its only member. A company team is set up by 3P; its owners and admins decide who joins and what members can see. When you are added to a team, its owners and admins can see the meetings you add to it.
04
Recording meetings
Before you record a meeting, upload its audio or send the Recap bot to it, you must have the right to do so and any consent the law requires from the people in it, and tell them they are being recorded. The bot shows in the participant list, but that does not replace your duty to tell them. You are responsible for the recordings and files you bring into Recap.
05
Acceptable use
Do not use Recap to:
- record people secretly or without the consent the law requires;
- upload content that is illegal, that you have no right to share, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
- attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service, or get around its limits or security;
- create many accounts, or share or resell an account, to get more free usage;
- send malware, spam or anything that harms other people or 3P.
06
Your content
Your team owns its audio, transcripts, summaries and everything else it puts into or creates with Recap. You give 3P the right to store and process that content only to provide Recap to you, for example to transcribe and summarise it. We use your audio and transcripts to train Recap’s models only if your team’s owner turns that on; it is off by default. How long we keep each kind of data, and how deletion works, is in the Privacy Policy.
07
Transcripts and AI summaries
Transcripts and summaries are made automatically by speech-recognition and AI models. They can be wrong or incomplete: names, numbers, decisions and action items may be missed or mistaken. Check them against the recording before you rely on them or share them. Recap is a tool to help you take notes, not advice.
08
Plans and limits
- The Free plan is free of charge and currently includes 300 upload minutes a month (reset on the first day of each month, Thai time), audio and transcripts kept for 30 days, one member, and no meeting bot.
- Paid plans for companies have their own limits and prices, agreed with 3P separately.
- We may change plans and their limits. We tell you ahead of a change that reduces what your plan includes, as described under Changes to these terms.
09
The service
We work to keep Recap running and your data safe, but Recap is provided as is and as available. We do not promise it will always be available, without errors, or suitable for a particular purpose. We may change, add or remove features. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
10
Suspension and closing an account
- We may suspend or close an account or team at once if it breaks these terms or the law, puts other people or the service at risk, or if the law requires it. We tell you by email and say why, unless the law does not allow it.
- You can stop using Recap and delete your account at any time. When an account or team is closed, its data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
11
Liability
- To the extent the law allows, 3P is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of Recap or from being unable to use it, including loss caused by a wrong transcript or summary, lost data, lost profit or business interruption.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, including for fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for death or bodily injury caused by negligence, or under the Personal Data Protection Act, and nothing limits your rights as a consumer under Thai law.
12
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For a material change we email account owners at least 30 days before it takes effect; smaller fixes take effect when published. The date at the top shows the version in force. If you keep using Recap after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms; if you do not accept them, stop using Recap and delete your account.
13
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, and the courts of Thailand decide any dispute. If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest stays in force.
